HELPING OUT

FOOD & FUND DRIVES

Food Lifeline’s Food & Fund Drive Program encourages members of the community to maximize their support of Food Lifeline’s hunger relief efforts by making much needed food and financial donations.

Drives can be held at schools, offices, community centers, places of worship, grocery stores, and even door-to-door in your neighborhood.  Food Lifeline relies on the generosity of individuals and organizations to provide food to nearly 300 neighborhood food banks, shelters and hot meal programs throughout Western Washington.

Why Host a Food & Fund Drive?

  • Giving Back:  The food and funds you collect enable Food Lifeline to feed hungry people in your community and all throughout Western Washington.
  • Impacting Lives:  For every $1 you collect, Food Lifeline can feed a family of four, and we make the most of your contributions with 95% of each donation going directly to feeding hungry people.
  • Working Together:  A food & fund drive is a fun and easy way to engage your friends and colleagues in supporting hunger relief in your community.
  • Providing Food:  The need is growing at Food Lifeline’s nearly 300 member food banks, meal programs and shelters.  The non-perishable food collected through food & fund drives is in high demand.
  • Spreading the Word:  Your drive lets others know about the growing issue of hunger in our region, and builds local support for hunger relief.

Hold a Meal Drive in Your Community

Can you feed a family of four for $1? Yes! By donating funds to Food Lifeline, your donation can go further in providing food to hungry families. Instead of collecting cans of food, collect dollars. Multiply your dollars raised by 4 and see how many meals you can bring in for hungry families. You will be amazed at the power of your dollar. We will provide you with all the resources you need to make your Meal Drive a success.
