FOOD & FUND DRIVES
WHAT IS YOUR FOOD & FUND DRIVE STYLE?
- Virtual Food Drive: This drive is great for those who want the biggest “bang for their buck” and to skip a trip to the grocery store! Through Food Lifeline's secure website, donors can choose grocery items to donate, and “purchase” them with a tax-deductible credit card donation.
- Challenge for Change: This unique competition between your company’s branches, floors or departments combines food collection, creative fundraising activities and volunteer projects for a competition that spells success in your office.
- Neighborhood Food & Fund Drive: Gathering food & funds door-to-door in your neighborhood is a great model for a group of volunteers. It is as easy as delivering bags and donation envelopes one weekend and returning the following weekend to collect donations and drop them off at Food Lifeline.
- Grocery Store Food & Fund Collection: You and your group can set up a donation station outside your local grocery store. Once you get permission from the store manager, just follow a few simple steps and you’re on your way to a successful drive.
Do not be limited by these suggestions. Raising food and funds for hungry people in Western Washington can be accomplished in a variety of ways. Be creative and get the word out in your community about the need for hunger relief.
