HELPING OUT

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

At Food Lifeline, we believe the gift of your time is the greatest gift to receive.  You don’t have to possess extraordinary skills or have tons of free time to make an impact in our efforts to end hunger in Western Washington.

If your office, youth group, social club, or place of worship is looking for a volunteer activity, Food Lifeline will appreciate the gift of your time.  If you are an individual that is retired, a student, or someone with a little free time, Food Lifeline can help keep you busy.  If you are looking for a different way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or want to make a positive impact on your surrounding community, Food Lifeline can help you make your celebration special!

Click the links below to find out more about the different ways in which you can contribute the gift of your time.

Community Volunteer Night

Join us each Wednesday of the month from 6:00-8:00 pm to help sort, label, and repackage food for distribution.  Volunteers must be at least 6 years old to participate.

Individual Volunteer Opportunities

Individual volunteers are needed to support our administrative offices, pick up food donations, sort and inspect food in the warehouse, and help at special events.  Internships are available for high school and college students.

Group Volunteer Opportunities

Bring your family and friends, co-workers, place of worship, youth group, classroom, birthday party, or any other group of 8-60 people together to volunteer in our warehouse to prepare food for distribution to local food banks, shelters, and meal programs.

You can also reach our Volunteer Program staff by email or calling Food Lifeline's offices at 206-545-6600.
