Rainy weather, delays and cancelled ferries - unfortunately, many Seattleites experience a less than perfect commute. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the average commute in the Seattle Metro Area is 27.7 minutes. To help Seattleites improve their less than perfect morning commutes, Keurig served free freshly-brewed gourmet coffee at select locations in October.
Commuters were able to choose, brew and enjoy a perfect cup of Tully’s coffee at a Keurig coffee booth, they received special brewer discounts and learned more about the company’s ongoing efforts to give back to the local community.
In the spirit of giving, Keurig donated $10,000 to Food Lifeline, a local hunger relief organization which serves more than 675,000 hungry individuals in Western Washington each year.
Keurig is the perfect solution to help busy Seattleites brew the coffee they love each morning, one cup at a time in less than 60 seconds with no clean up, waste or hassle.
As part of a corporate commitment to give 5% of pre-tax profits back to the community, Keurig supports organizations in local communities working directly to alleviate hunger such as Food Lifeline.
Food Lifeline is a local hunger relief organization, efficiently serving the Western Washington area by using 95% of revenue to directly feed hungry people. Last year the organization delivered more than 19 million meals to hungry people through its network of more than 300 neighborhood food banks, hot meal programs, shelters and other food providers. Food Lifeline is also a member of the national organization, Feeding America. For more information about Food Lifeline or to make a tax-deductible donation, log onto www.foodlifeline.org or call 206-545-6600.
