2011 Agency Excellence Award Winners

Winners Receive $5,000 Grant to Advance Hunger Relief Efforts

Food Lifeline honored four local organizations with "Agency Excellence Awards" at the 2011 Annual Member Agency Conference on Monday, March 21, 2011. The conference hosted expert leaders from Food Lifeline’s nearly 300 member agencies from all throughout Western Washington, connecting them with each other to offer educational and informational workshops.

Agency Excellence Awards went to the following members of Food Lifeline’s agency network:

At a time when donations are more difficult to come by, the award included a $5,000 grant from Food Lifeline to support the organizations' continued effort to advance hunger relief in their communities.   The organizations, all members of Food Lifeline’s agency network, received the awards for creating innovative programs to meet the needs of hungry people throughout Western Washington.

"These awards allow us to recognize those programs that are making a tangible difference in the lives of others, and they help strengthen the ability of the Food Lifeline network as a whole. Our member agencies are using their creativity and the support of a generous community to continue to find ways to serve the increasing number of hungry people we are seeing as a result of this difficult economic time," says Food Lifeline President and CEO, Linda Nageotte.
