You might not see our name on huge billboards or in every magazine you read, but you may be seeing more of Food Lifeline as you are out around town. Some of the ways you can help Food Lifeline may include making a pit-stop to try some delicious, melt-in-your-mouth cheesecake, or taking in a movie at a dinner theater and testing some of Julia Child's recipes while you enjoy the movie Julie and Julia. Learn more about how you can help Food Lifeline through activities you can easily incorporate into your daily life, and have a little fun too.
As you complete your daily routines, there are a variety of activities you may be already participating in that can help us and the hungry people we serve. For instance, if you are thinking of switching to a new checking account, try out some Feel Good Checking with the Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union. Do a little shopping at any of the Macy’s in Western Washington and benefit Food Lifeline. Or, if you’re testing out some new wine from the region, you might want to consider Edmonds Winery.
The list goes on and on. September will be packed full of activities for Hunger Action Month, so be sure to check back to see what is happening in your area. We are so fortunate to have the support of a caring community, because it helps us work toward ending hunger in Western Washington. As independent organizations and individuals, we have come together for a common mission so that our total is greater than the sum of our parts. Thank you for supporting Food Lifeline in your daily activities.
